Yoga is a journey of the self, through the self, to the self
— The Bhagavad Gita

I have been practicing yoga for at least 20 years! My personal yoga practise developed into a passion and way of life. I am honored that I now get to teach it.

Practising asana (physical postures), pranayama (breath control) and pratyahara (sense withdrawal) are some of the reasons why yoga is more than just just a physical practice - it is an internal practice. A practise of working from outer to inner. My yoga mat is my ‘rectangular lab’ where I get to work on and examine myself. A place for inquiry, self examination and self observation.

Being so drawn to Yoga, it became my calling but it took me a long time to rise up and share the benefits. It was a big decision, not taken lightly. I waited a long time to feel ready to be able to share and serve whilst recognising and honouring the roots of yoga. Yoga is an ancient spiritual practice of self realisation that originated in India. My aim is to teach those on the mat that to practise yoga is to go deeper than just the physical. All 5 layers, all 8 limbs.

Life is a mysterious mix of beautiful, challenging and painful experiences. No one can predict how it will unfold and we don’t always understand why it unfolds the way it does. When we can redirect our energy away from our personal dramas and see the big picture of our life. When we can say ‘this too I accept’ then maybe we are beginning the practise of Yoga.

In 2014 I left my job as an early years teacher and qualified as a certified yoga instructor with Yoga London. On completion I left London and returned  to my childhood home on the beautiful island of Jersey, Channel Islands and I now teach yoga full time all over the island.

As well as teaching my regular group and private classes, I offer various monthly workshops, events and weekly Yin Yoga sessions. During the spring and summer months you will find me teaching on the beautiful beaches in Jersey.

I run yoga retreats in amazing locations and I feel so incredibly lucky to be able to facilitate space for us to really dive deep in, to unwind, unplug and fully immerse in yoga.
